Webhosting registration e-mail

Hi there! first of all wishing everyone a happy new year.

I recently registered an account both for the website hosting option (free) as well as the forum. The forum registration e-mail came through almost instantly, but I'd just like to make sure my website hosting application also came through. At first, I was worried that it was going to be Proton hiding the email, but I received the forum application email successfully, and it didn't go into my spam folder.

Thanks for your time,

How are forum topics ordered?

So, just to break the ice while waiting for my hosting account to be approved: how are forum topics ordered? It's not by first post, and not by last post, so it can get confusing.

(By the way, in case someone makes the same mistake I did: forum accounts aren't connected to hosting accounts. You can make a forum account first. You might have to use the same e-mail to claim extra storage space if I understood correctly. Not sure.)

HTTPS for custom domains

Hi! I have a website hosted with this hosting and I have a subdomain. I've made my subdomain to point on the hosting's via A record and it works... only when I visit it with HTTP. When I do HTTPS request, my browser sends NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID and if I proceed, I get this forum opened.
You can check it youself if you open my website via HTTP and HTTPS. Can it be fixed somehow?

Tritr based computers?

Hello!

Have any one any info on computers based on not bits (0,1) but on trits (-1,0,1)?
Could you answer in any characters (could translate from any).

Current computers all use bit which could be in state of 1 or 0.
But there was idea of a tritr based computer with states of -1, 0 and 1. This will change all logic from ground up (even operations like AND, OR, XOR, IF and others).

Current computers could have IF-then-else because they check for =1 or =0.
But with tritr based logic you could write IF-more-eq-less and get 3 program path selection.
Also it could change how arrays are implemented. Instead of start, index and length any array could point to the middle of selected memory and grow both in +length and -length from staring point (so you could save not only data (+length) but metadata (-length) inside).

It is possible to create emulator of tritr based computer. But there was hardware devices also
(both as "2 bits for 1 tritr" with ordinary transistors and tri-state gates).

There could be totally new "open source" platform for tritr based anything which is completely independent from current bit-based "open source".
Even it could get rid from anything connected to printers (especially "matrix printers" and "contol flows"). No function with name "print", no "\n" (printer new line command), no "\r" (printer carriage return command), no "LPT" port (printer ports), no "COM" ports (some printers use them), no ASCII "control characters" and even no "strings" in any forms (which are also were just a way to use "matrix printers"). Instead there could be "tree of tokens".

Recognizing Users for Custom Domains

Hello. I recently found out about this place and registered.
When using from Japan, I feel slow response, especially with FTP.
Still, I'm having fun.

As I was creating the web, I had a question.

When setting up a custom domain, what part of the domain recognizes the username?

The FAQ page explains:

You have a site called mysupermegawebsite.w10.site, then you can link the following domain names: mysupermegawebsite.com same as mysupermegawebsite.mydomain.com

If I set up a domain called "sub.example.site" ,Does the server check for "example" or "sub"?

I set one up to try and it showed me this forum.
Somehow, depending on the domain name used, I figured it wouldn't work well.
