i ended up being so enamored with CSS that i ended up making a less minimal version for myself after posting this haha. Definitely too garish and not very web 1.0 of me. I hope my CSS sins will be forgiven lol. At least this really is pure CSS and HTML, no hipster javascripts.

Yeah that definitely is a much simpler approach haha, on the list I found there are hundreds of bots already.
Seems like it is a difficult balance between keeping bad bots out and being findable by others. I applied to join a bunch of webrings in the hope that it helps with the second part, at least.

I used to have something like that, but in the end grew tired of playing whack-a-mole and switched to a much simpler robots.txt found on the SDF website:

User-agent: Ariadne
User-agent: Wibybot
User-agent: MojeekBot
User-agent: DuckDuckBot
User-agent: search.marginalia.nu
Disallow:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

It does keep out a lot of bots, but on the plus side it's opt-in. Anything that ignores it is clearly malicious, even if it's one of the big names.

Yeah, it looks like the certificate expired two days ago. Not much we can do about it until our host gets around to updating it. Not sure how (un)safe it is to log into Hamster until then, but FTP connections were already unencrypted.

I am getting a "connection is not secure" warning message.when acessing the w10 sites. Should i be worried? Should I not log in to my website panel when this error shows up?
Is this something about the certificate expiring?

I think I made a template?
I am not sure how well it would work with anything. Any ideas how to improve it? I am only just learning how to use html and css and I am very new to it.

If you want to use or adapt it for Hamster you can go ahead, I personally think the concept of neon flowers is cute, but maybe that's just me.

A redesigned template on the topic of "exhibitions and theaters" which I made earlier, and it is easy to adapt, I took this template from a website that existed since 1996, now unfortunately it no longer exists, only fragments remain on the Internet

The template was used 30 years ago, I collected it bit by bit from the internet, unfortunately, it was not saved in normal form on the archive[dot]org, I reassembled it, come and see what interesting pages from the 90s once looked like

For this, there are directories called "blog" or "includes" where you can create text files and link to them, just like in my example.

You don't need to automate this; you can use HTML for layout.

The side menu doesn't use the navigation tool; the links there were manually formatted. You can use the blog in the same way. Or, if you need individual pages (a page within a page), they can be placed in includes and displayed like this

Look closely at what the code looks like; it's hardcoded without using any HamsterCMS tools.

menu.

Hi, I registered here quite recently to check out Web1.0 Hosting and I'm loving everything about it so far! I have a friend who's also interested in making a website on here, and I was wondering: When it says to input the referrers login, does that that mean the username and password, or only the username, or what exactly? I assume you've realized that you can open the side menu section from the top menu—and since those are essentially text files too, you can embed anything you like in them as well.
