I don't understand the blog function (reply)

NEVERMIND
i am stupid. I missed the FAQ section somehow, idk how.
I inserted the <!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/blog/?$args" -->

and now the file content shows up/the blog pages exist!

A blog subpage will always have the same template as the main blog page, correct?

so post 1 can't have a different template tha post 4 for example? i tried changing it in the editor but it does not do anything, so i assume that is the case

I don't understand the blog function (reply)

Yeah, i get the changing template part per file, but I can't figure out how to link to that page? It won't link to anything exept plain .html file

let's say i have a home/root/file/blog page.

I want to link from that to entry 1 in the folder home/numberonespinelapologist/blog/
and file 1 has a template, and the 1.txt_ file that says its template.

I am trying to link normally, like this:
<a href= "https://numberonespinel apologist.w10.site/cgi-bin/ cms/blog/1">blog </a>
(added spaces that are not there because for some reason the forums won't let me post the link?)

it does not work, it sends me elsewhere or nowhere.

if i just type in [[BLOG_CONTENT]] somewhere it does nothing other than display that text.

https://numberonespinelapologist.w10.site/cgi-bin/cms/blog here is where i was trying to figure it out, none of the links work as intended

I don't understand the blog function (reply)

Select absolutely any page on your website or blog, open it in the editor (this is important), and at the bottom, select a template from the list, or your own if it's in the template folder. Your page (or blog post) will then have its own separate template.

example: https://downgrade.w10.site/cgi-bin/cms/blog

also the same webpage https://downgrade.w10.site

click on some pages

You can insert the "blog" structure into absolutely any page (text, then a picture under the text, and then the blog structure)

I don't understand the blog function

The FAQ says to

"insert the structure [[BLOG_CONTENT]]
blog pages are saved in the blog folder, and you can also assign each its own template"

I don't understand what this means. Where, how do i "insert" that?
I tried simple linking to the test blog pages but it only works if i change the .txt into .html, and there seems to be no way to add the template.

Let's say, i want a subpage in my main navigation that says "blog". and then I want that subpage to have links to blog entries 1, 2, 3, 4.
I also want them to use the templates.
How do i do that?

Hello! a newbie here excited to hopefully start a website

First of all, I have big appreciation for what you are doing here, it really is amazing that the Old Web lives still, the philosophy of all of this is really appealing to me.
That is why i decided to take the plunge and try making a website despite having like, negative knowledge about how to do this
I am quite excited and happy i found out about this site!

And well, I was also curious what is the timeframe in which i can expect to get my request for hosting approved? So far i did not get anything. I don't want to be too impatient, but I also want to make sure no emails got lost somewhere

Claiming MB Query (reply)

You get 500 megabytes at the start as a community member. This means you're not just registering, but participating in the community, helping it grow, and inviting people. For each invitee, you get an additional quota. You can also earn additional quota by contributing useful content, such as templates, scripts, chat administration, and so on. If your site is interesting and popular, your quota will also be increased.

Claiming MB Query

Hi!
First of all; thank you SO much for making this, you guys!!! All this stuff is super amazing!
I've been a member of the web hosting for a bit; but I'm only really just now starting to get into the meat & potatoes of it all.
How do we claim the free MB associated? For example, my username is the same, as is my email, from what I registered on my website. Will this make the process fairly quick, then, perhaps?
Love the work you guys do! Keep it up!

An idea for theme:
Neumorphism

Like boxes with special styling so they look like they are a part of the site like this: (assuming bg is e0e0e0)

border-radius: 50px;
background: #e0e0e0;
box-shadow: 20px 20px 60px #bebebe,
That’s my idea, thanks for considering it
